The one best fix I found was for both players to enable Listen to port in the Dolphin config with the same port, then have the host open that same port in his router settings.Went and downloaded 5.7 and 5.8.7 faster melee dolphin emulators to play, but after trying multiple times to connect to my friend's and anther's ladder opponent's Netplay 5.8.7, I couldn't connect. Just started getting into competitive smash and joined anther's ladder. Sounds like you need to do some port forwarding on your router (if using one) 2 Also, check if anything under Connection Issues here applies.
